Guide: Make your own (ISP) IN-System Programming Cable



When your supplied In-System Programming cable is just too long!
After recently purchasing a Pololu ISP programmer, when using it I realised that the ISP cable had a tendency to drag the programmer off the table due to its long length, which was rather annoying!

So.... I decided to post a quick pictorial guide on how to make a shorter version.

Parts List

2x AMPHENOL T812106A101CEU  IDC Header from Premier Farnell 
2x AMPHENOL - T821106A1R100CEU - PCB Shrouded header (optional)
Ribbon Cable from an ATA66 IDE ribbon cable (or floppy drive cable)
