Electronics: Mystery Project

You want to make something you go to the cupboard only to find its "Mother Hubbard's Cupboard" not a scrap of copper clad PCB or protoboard in sight what will i do !

Well why not have a go at Air Wiring or P2P (peer to peer) wiring just like in the good old Valve days before the intervention of  PCB's and the transistor.
